GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Although Mohawk Trail is a very small rural school, I think this creates a very open and close knit community within the school. The teachers are very good at their jobs and are all very kind and helpful to students in any situation.

Mohawk is a decent enough high school, and was really chill as far as music goes. With COVID, though, our music department was dissolved and the art department got budget cuts. A few years back our cooking classes/adulting classes were cut...so now its a bit of art, lots of sports, and plain academics. I will say Mohawk's football team sucks, but an alumni I'm friends with holds a state record for track.

My kid has trouble choosing classes because there are so many great ones she wants to take them all. In addition to honors and AP courses, there is robotics and woodshop, art, music, theater, cooking - I could go on and on - not to mention the wide array of athletic teams from football to nordic ski...
