Welcoming, safe, and attentive are some of the words I would use for St. Francis. They helped my struggling student become a successful and excited learner. The parentsand children are friendly and supportive of one another. The teachers have time to support kids with different learning styles. There have been a few new students this year in our classes. They all look like old friends already.

I went to St. Francis from the 4th to the 8th grade. Coming into the school late, I didn't really start "fitting in" with my class of 20 something students until the end of the 7th grade. I always felt very excluded. This being said, I was also super strange and quiet, so that could have something to do with it. However, the academics are much better than those of public schools in Sherwood. I wouldn't recommend this school, but if I could give advice to those who choose to send their kids here anyway, start them here at kindergarten. That way they won't be left out like I was. I "graduated" from St. Francis in 2014.

There is a lot of love and community at this school. Past leadership has not been effective and there has been a lot of turnover/loss of qualified individuals at the parish due to financial constraints. Hopefully the current leadership can turn around the financial stability of the parish and school...

I have been a St. Francis parent for the last 6 years.Responding to previous posts:1.) The concern about parent aides is no longer applicable, no parents are working as aides at the school currently.2.) Regarding teacher turnover, there is not the "revolving door of teachers" as it is made to sound....

Very strong community with involved parents. The children make friendships that last through all grades. Parents get to know each other and become friends too. Academic standards and conduct expectations are high. The result is a safe, friendly environment where kids can learn and grow.
