GreatSchools Rating

Source: GreatSchools
GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The bathrooms are absolutely horrid in most of the school. The whole of the 900 hall is completely decrepit and has lockers blocking the way that make it impossible to move around the school. The food is almost unbearable, but I understand that is not a school decision.

This would be my first year here, my senior year. I've went to more than four schools my high school year and it has been an adventure. I would rather go to another school than here, it's okay here but not so much my culture. It's an average school with an exact high school experience that people describe. I don't talk to many people but if I were to rate it overall I would give it a solid three out of five.

Northshore High School is a school where I have made many friends through clubs and extracurricular activities. Although there are a lot of learning opportunities within different fields and trades, at this school, I as well as many of my peers often feel unprepared for college and future classes.

My son is in the special education program. To say that he loves school and that everyone makes sure things are going well for him all while allowing him to have a wonderful experience in high school is an understatement. This is an absolutely amazing school.

A factory of conformity where individuality is looked down upon

Although there are many well-meaning professionals, the school is over crowded and they do not have the resources they need to support the students adequately. Our experience at Northshore was a reflection of the small community, lack of monetary resources, and tired and overworked employees.
