GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

There is room for growth, parent engagement is lacking yet the are efforts in place. Students are recognized for positive behavior and positive reinforcement strategies being utilized. Parents/ guardians need to step up and participate more.

9/10 For first grade experience. The staff and teachers are really great.

I would rate this school a giant F. They treat kids horrible, have no idea how to manage or run a school. Do not seem to care about putting in time and effort to improve the child's learning experience, and are not friendly to the parents.

My child is in 1st grade at Whitman. Yes, there have been minor issues, but the same issues I've heard from other parents in "richer" districts. My husband and I have more than enough money to move but we like our neighborhood and the school. My child is excelling and learning above her grade level!
