GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Most of the staff is super supportive of student decisions. Several teachers are very supportive of the college route and other routes for their students' futures. I enjoyed the past 3 years of River Valley High School and it is a very comforting small town school.

River Valley High is definitely a great school for such a small rural community. It offers a wide selection of AP and transcripted credit classes, along with amazing teachers to get students well prepared for post-high school life. The sports along with academics are very outstanding as well.

I love the teacher to student ratio. The teachers and staff are very kind and understanding. They also offer very rigorous classes that give me a good challenge as a student. Technology and the building itself could be improved.

Great class sizes and student:teacher ratio. Lots of interesting opportunities for involvement after school, good selection of electives, awesome community support. A true "Country Day" school.
