Frank H. Freedman is a public elementary school located at 90 Cherokee Drive in Springfield, MA, serving kindergarten through fifth grade. Freedman School is named for Frank Harlan Freedman who was a Springfield native, mayor of Springfield, assistant attorney general for Massachusetts as well as a United States district judge. Frank H. Freedman School has an enrollment of approximately 240 students and a 12-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio. Freedman School is a Cornerstone Anchor School—a designated model school for teaching and learning. Students engage in math, science, English Language Arts, music and physical education among other classes. The school made substantial progress toward learning targets in 2021, according to the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. In addition to academics, students participate in community activities such as Field Day throughout the school year. Freedman School opened in 1961 and underwent a gymnasium renovation in 2019. The school grounds feature picnic tables, a community garden, two playground areas and a blacktop area.

A few of the teachers were good and seemed to care about the kids but most seem short tempered and would rather not be there.
