GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

In my 4 years in Tottenville High School I have enjoyed every second of it whether I am in class learning or staying for an after school activity. I love how easy it is to become involved because the school is very inclusive and it has an extremely wide variety of clubs. Almost all of the teachers are very understanding and passionate about their jobs which creates a positive learning environment for the students and allows them to excel. The only thing I would like to see change is an increase in the schools funding to be able to host more fun events for the students and even their families to help them make the most of their high school experiences and create amazing memories with their friends.

The school prepares students for a college environment by offering many programs as well as AP courses. The classes I took through the Institute program taught me valuable skills when it comes to time management and studying. I was able to sample different fields within science and math which gave me insight on what major I would like to apply to in college.

my current experience as a freshman is alright. some kids bully me about me being bi and whatnot but id say thats just kids being kids, they ignore the urge to support us, which i get. teachers are nice if youre on their good side, and even if youre not, that would be totally fine. one thing id like...

My child is a freshman. This school has a lot to offer with the array of interesting programs to suit many professions. The staff is welcoming and goes above and beyond to make all students feel comfortable in their environment. The teachers are respectful to students and parents.

Administration bows down to bullies and the parents of bullies. No room for growth or change. Send your children here if you hate them or want them to fail. Disrespectful kids as well as staff and admin who chooses to ignore issues rather than fix them.
