The college readiness is a flaw of the school, we had designated time for advisory period once a week but most of my teachers did nothing and treated it as a study hall. They need to teach things like financial aid, how to apply for scholarships, and general university requirements vs major classes. School spirit and encouragement was good, it usually felt like a positive environment. Some staff were great and the music and arts classes were fantastic.

My experiences at Steilacoom High School have been overall incredibly positive. The teachers, students, and faculty in general are extremely supportive of your goals and aspirations, and the multitude of great programs provide so many paths for you to start prepare you for your future career.

I went to Steilacoom High School my freshman year and had really enjoyed my experience there. It was by far the best high school out of the three I had attended.

I would not recommend this high school to anyone. The admin, especially the principles suspend students excessively for anything, also they base their disciplinary decisions off what students say as opposed to what really happened with facts and proof to support it. You want to send your children to a safe place where they they can be children, even as high schoolers.
