Stow-Munroe Falls High School is the sole high school in the Stow-Munroe Falls City school district. With an enrollment of over 1,800 students in ninth through 12th grade, the school has been in operation for over a century.
The school started as Stow High School, which graduated its first class in 1907. The district opened the current campus on East Graham Road in 1987 and officially renamed it Stow-Munroe Falls High School.
According to the latest available data from the Ohio Department of Education, Stow earned a “C” grade overall, with a “C” in the achievement component and a “D” in the progress component of the Ohio School Report Card. However, it ranks relatively high in gap closing and earned an “A” for its graduation rate of 94.4 percent.
Stow-Munroe Falls is known in the region for its impressive academics, robust athletics, and nationally recognized music programs. Whether they plan to take a career or college-bound track, students can participate in a wide range of programs at Stow-Munroe Falls.
College prep programs include Advanced Placement (AP) courses and College Credit Plus, which allow students to earn college credits in high school. Career-focused students may take advantage of vocational and tech programs. The district even operates its own restaurant, Joshua’s Restaurant, to teach the fundamentals of the food service and hospitality industries.
Stow is nationally recognized for its impressive music program offering instruction in orchestra, choir, band, vocal, instrumental, and music theory. It also has a drama program, a marching band, and a jazz band.

The school was great, all the teahers are great, there are so many options for classes and for activities and clubs and sports. Really big school though, very populous and crowded. But it is good for finding your own crowd and finding those are like you.

Stow munroe falls high school was a really good school for my children. I believe that they have the children a good educational experience.

During my time in Stow, They worked on a hole in the roof. A hole that confused them for all of my 4 years. Besides that, I really stuck to myself and I believe it is a generic high school with a mixture of all ethnicities and niches. Though, the teachers did go above and beyond to make sure that the kids were staying up to date on due dates, quizzes and testing as well as regularly encouraging us to do our best wherever we could.

This school leaves something to be desired. Teacher-wise there are some gems, for example, Mrs. Merrill, Mrs. Peterre, Mrs. Marcum, Mr. Hinman, and Mrs. Tichnell.
