Sangaree Elementary School opened its doors in 1979 as a traditional elementary school and now serves pre-K to second grade students in the Goose Creek area. Located on the northern side of the community, the school mainly serves students from the Sangaree neighborhood. The dedicated teachers and staff ensure each student soars by providing individualized educational plans, technology integration and hands-on lessons. From including real eggs and chickens in science lessons to learning how to research topics on a Chromebook, students have fun while learning valuable skills. The ideal class size offers practical social skills and individualized learning opportunities. Each grade level also receives special programming and exploratory time to engage in subjects like art, music, computer lab and physical education. These courses help students express themselves and find new passions along the way. Throughout the year, students participate in fun events and lessons like going on a bug safari, field day, the book fair, career day and more. With so many extracurricular activities and a strong reputation around the Goose Creek community, it’s easy to see why students are proud to be a Sangaree Elementary Star.
