GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I've been at the high school all three years, and I loved everything about it. It was tough at times, but when it's time to show support for the school everyone is there. I couldn't ask for anything more.

Swansea High School is in a small town, given the circumstances of a small town I belive Swanseas acedemic and athletic performance is good for what we are given. The worst parts of my experince would dirty bathrooms. Best parts are the communites throughout sports and our JROTC programs are well orgnaized and kept to a standard.

It's a rather poorly funded high school in a mostly low-income area it's not exactly that good or bad as a student I would say it's not really preparing me for college or life aside from the trade classes offering certification. Swansea High isn't that bad but it also isn't that good there are fights rather often. The teachers are mostly nice but kinda just there for a paycheck with very few exceptions.

I'm behind on work and they aren't even trying to help me. This school only helps the best students and leave the others behind.

•Teacher workload is a way too much. (6 classes/one planning period)•Excessive class observations. Sometimes right after a long break.•The grading policy (60% minimum for students who do not do any work) is unfair for the students who really work hard in class. The school has too many slackers in it...
