GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

WaVA has been amazing for our neurodiverse student. Teachers are welcoming and very supportive. Curriculum is diverse and includes a wide variety of real-life, modern topics that allow for discussion and open minded-ness. The technology is modern and easy to use. I am able to participate in my child's education while still giving them autonomy.

WAVA online schooling is the best. This was my first year being a learning coach. My granddaughter had just started kindergarten and we didn't want her in public school. This option was excellent. She received the same education but in a safe environment at home. She was able to socialize with her classmates online and on field trips. I really enjoyed how well the program was organized. It made it really easy for the learning coach because her plans were are already planned out. Less stress for me trying to make her schedule and figure out what to teach her.

There is a very large disconnect between teachers and their students. The learning coaches are with the student every single day and understand their students learning style as well as what limits they have for completing their work for the day. However, teachers sometimes will place unrealistic exp...

WAVA K-12 is a wonderful online public school. I have been home schooling my 2 boys, Brady who is 16 and Ashton who is 11, for 6 years now. I decided to pull my boys from the regular brick and mortar school because the teacher to student ratio was 1 to 30. This was very unacceptable for my husband a...

We are loving our first year of home schooling. The materials provided by K-12 are excellent and their online school is so easy to navigate! Wish I would have started this in kindergarten. After talking to some of my teacher friends, my daughter is learning so much more than she would have been lear...
