GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I truly enjoyed my 4 years at Howard W Blake as a theater major. I made many friends and grew as a person, student, and artist. I am proud to be a graduate of Howard W Blake High School. Go Jackets!

Blake High School is an amazing place for students of the arts. The arts programs and the teachers of those programs work diligently with students and make sure they are ready to pursue the arts they are interested in. The facilities for these programs are also some of the best in the county.

The best parts were the relationships with the teachers and students. The teachers really cared and wanted students to succeed although they were a few exceptions. The safety and administration could be better but a lot has changed since I have graduated.

IF YOUR CHILD WANTS TO ATTEND A UNIVERSITY NOT JUCO- get them out of the AICE program at Blake. This program is tailored to get them Brigth Futures for JUCO without getting them ready for ACT/SAT testing. My girl was enrolled in this program in Miami Dade, we drank the Kiol-aid. Yaay Bright futures!...
