Every year, approximately 500 students are welcomed into Wood Elementary School for a well-rounded curriculum program designed to inspire a lifetime of learning. A public school in the Tempe School District, Wood Elementary School prides itself on one-to-one technology, special education programs, gifted learning, library, music, and physical education classes. The teachers know that when children are engaged in learning, it sets a solid foundation for future success and opportunities. The school serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade and offers a popular preschool program. Wood Elementary School’s mascots are the WOLVES: wonderful, outstanding, loving, valiant, engaged students. But it is not only the students and teachers who are highly engaged; it’s the parents, too. Wood Elementary School has a highly active PTA and a shared mission with parents to promote shared responsibility and ownership to increase student achievement. The school’s complete rebuild finished in 2020, featuring two new single-story buildings totaling 69,500 square feet, 30 new classrooms, a new administration and learning commons building, a new multipurpose room, and a cafeteria building. Natural daylight, LED lights, and a secure pickup and drop-off area are three of the many modern-day features that make Wood Elementary School the state-of-an-art educational institution it is today.

We have had a wonderful experience with the staff and my son loves going to school at Wood elementary. I would rate this schools as one of the best elementary schools in the state!!!

The three stars are purely because of the great teachers. If not for them, I'd give one. The administration team at the school is HORRIBLE. They are bullies and treat the kids like numbers.
