GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Terre Haute South building itself is falling apart. Students are embarrassed to see the filth in restrooms, hallways, and classrooms. Athletics are faulty to at the school due to poor commitment of athletes and no feeder programs building up the sports. There is also a lack of training facilities. Education wise the advanced placement programs are good, but I'm not quite certain how well the regular education system is.

It's like a 3rd world country. Absolutely filth. Roaches are everywhere. There are a few good teachers but years of Mis-management make it an embarrassment to the state.

In my honest opinion, the school is in a somewhat bad condition. For example, the bathrooms are always broken along with the AC and heating.

Building leadership positions are filled by members of the "in-crowd". Unless you are a friend, relative, former teammate, or spouse of a person in power in the corporation or the community then you will not advance. Hiring process is affected by nepotism. Post secondary education & the advanced aca...

My son had some medical problems throughout the year that affected his mental health. Every single one of his teachers as well as coaches and staff members that dealt with him throughout the year were fantastic. Communication was excellent. If they noticed a change in his behavior they quickly conta...

The deans are terrible. At least the woman. Students constantly complain about the demeaning words the deans tell them. If you care about your students mental and emotional well-being, you will not send them here.
