GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The class sizes are generally pretty small, especially once you get to your junior and senior years. The counselors are super attentive, and once you start going to Lone Star, you can always go to them with any questions you have.

After being here for 3 1/2 years, including COVID virtual education, I would say that this is a good school for students seeking either opportunities for free college, wanting to get ahead, or pursuing graduate paths that require a lot of school. Graduating with an associate degree for free is an unpassable opportunity, and though it lacks the stereotypical "high school" experience, I have met some amazing people and teachers here who want us to succeed.

Tomball Star Academy is a good school because of its college readiness program, where we go to Lone Star College and take classes there, and the administration is nice and genuinely interested in helping the students. However, there is a lack in arts/musical classes, and, except for Sophomore year, there really are not any classes on those things, but there are clubs you can join for these, which is good. Also, there aren't really any sports/sports related clubs.
