GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have gone to Toronto City Schools my entire life. My experience has been both up and down. I am a very quiet person and school has taught me to believe in myself no matter what others think. I set my mind to studies and challenged myself with the harder classes. My goal was to make top ten of my class and that is exactly what I did. I am now focusing on my college career and setting my goal of becoming a cardiologist.

There are some teachers who are just not willing to help or shame you for simple things like accidentally sleeping in like everyone does it. But then there are amazing teachers who are willing to help you and understands that life happens outside of school not just inside.

Toronto City School District is a wonderful place that is family oriented and strives to teach their students about honesty and respect. It showcases tradition and makes sure everyone is treated with respect. The small town community shows support for struggling neighbors, academic honors, and our thriving sports team. It makes sure everyone is cared for.

This school and the district is an absolute joke. Moving here my junior year, I was so excited, but that quickly came to an end. I was denied the option to take certain classes because they were “too advanced” and I didn’t have the ability. This was coming from someone who did not know me or my acad...
