In the heart of Stevenson neighborhood is Dove School of Discovery Tulsa, a public school with a focus on bringing science, math and technology-based education to its students. As a member of a system of charter schools, Dove brings its advanced curriculum to students across Oklahoma. Founded in 2000 as a sole middle school, the school in Tulsa now serves students from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade.
Students who reside in Tulsa county can apply for admission to Dove. Classrooms average 15 students per teacher, capping at 27 students per class. Additionally, Dove ensures one-on-one student attention. Instruction often takes a “hands-on approach,” allowing students to capitalize on a productive learning environment.
Dove prides itself on holding high standards for all of its students. The school has a 100 percent college acceptance rate and has been named one of the top four high schools in the state, according to Newsweek magazine. Collectively, Dove schools have also won over 700 local, national and international science fair and competition awards. While the curriculum here is demanding, students also have the opportunity to pursue interests outside of math and science. They can take classes in world languages and fine arts as well as participate in athletics programs.

What a great school!! This is a relatively smaller school, which is great. The teachers and administration know the students and they are not just a number. They do home visits if you want it, and work hard to develop a great relationships with not just students but also the families.

I have two kids attending this school. They really like the school and their teachers. The education level in this school is high and helped my kids to grow academically.

My daughter attends elementary school at Dove. Her teachers are strong, professional, and demanding. They know how to motivate kids to learn in a different ways. The school has a good discipline too. Also, Assistant Principal of Academics helps a lot.
