Committed to providing an enriching education, Key Elementary School strives to set students on the path to academic success. Education here involves hands-on, engaging learning experiences as well as field trips around Tulsa. At Key Elementary, each student is called to visualize their academic future. The school hosts assemblies and programs to enable this line of thinking among students. Some include visits from high school role models while others take the form of incentives for those who showcase important virtues, such as responsibility and attendance. Students, known as the “Key Chargers,” also seek to achieve a set of goals marked by the letters in their mascot. Goals include showing compassion, being helpful, paying attention and more. These skills not only assist in developing students in the classroom, but are also useful in daily life. Key Elementary also places a strong focus on celebrating different cultures. Targeted support is provided for those who are learning English as a second language. Serving less students than the surrounding prekindergarten to fifth grade schools in the Stevenson neighborhood, Key Elementary class sizes offer a desirably low student-teacher ratio. Students are sure to receive plenty of individualized attention.

This school had very little parent engagement. They do not address bullying, the fighting on the bus, they fights that happen in the playground, both verbal and physical. One of my children was like 2 grade levels behind kids at other schools. I do not understand why the kids at this school are so b...

This school has been never ending problems since my children have been enrolled. My son attending pre-k was probably the only year we went without any issues- His teacher that year was fantastic. When I try to call and talk to the principal about issues that arise, he is- every single time- "in a me...
