Rigorous and motivational, Memorial High School brings a challenging curriculum to the south side of the Stevenson neighborhood. Here, nearly 1,000 students are encouraged to form opinions that shape the school’s culture. This design has led to student-selected activity periods where students can practice yoga, anime and more. Memorial Chargers can compete in a variety of athletic teams including football, basketball, soccer, swimming, volleyball, softball, baseball, tennis, track and field, golf and cheer. Other extracurricular activities include drama club and student council. A popular program at Memorial High School is the robotics team, the Circuit Chargers. This team competes in local, state and national competitions, applying the technology they’ve learned to real-world situations. The school maintains an award-winning engineering magnet program, The Tulsa Engineering Academy at Memorial (TEAM). TEAM offers classes in engineering principles and digital electronics that are aligned with university engineering programs. Courses in the school’s magnet program give students the confidence to take their skills in STEM-based work and apply it to their college and career choices. Students at Memorial High School are offered the Early College High School program called Earn a Degree Graduate Early (EDGE). EDGE allows students to earn an associate degree concurrently with their diploma. With all its resources, Memorial High School guides and motivates students to a brighter educational future ahead.

I had a nice time at Memorial for the time that I was there. The teachers kept me interested in what I was learning, and they made sure that we understood everything before moving on. One thing that I would change about Memorial is the exterior design because it looks a little rundown and old.

Both of my children graduated from Memorial, 2013 and 2017. They had a great experience and are doing well in college. My daughter made dean's list last year which was her freshman year. My son is now attending graduate school at the University of Missouri.
