My kid started in grade 1 this year through the dual immersion program. I was nervous about sending him their but he loves it! He was well prepared for this challenge. He is AA but he loves Spanish. So we tried it out. He attended private school before transferring and it has helped him academically. Now he is working to excel in Spanish.

I wish ZERO was an option. This school has their priorities displaced. The main areas of focus are attendance, food and the parking lot. Markham Elementary is a fantastic school. My two children are enrolled in the SPICE program, and they thoroughly enjoy learning a second language. Markham Elementary school has an excellent peer immersion program.
