GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

A school full of cliques and rich white kids. The whole IB program situation offers very little other electives or opportunities for arts and creativity. Clubs are okay since there are many clubs, but not many people attend club meetings or activities for most clubs. Overall not a good school.

Columbia River high school creates a good environment for students to learn and participate in activities. They offer the International Baccalaureate program for students who look to exceed in their studies. Many of the sports teams have won state for the 2A division, but some are not as successful but the games are still entertaining.

I had a good time at Columbia River High School. It was a nice high school with a good amount of diversity and the teaching staff was amazing. I gave it a lower score due to the treatment I received from the staff (non teachers).

One year was terrible, this year seems to be much better and I'm hoping this trend will continue.

As a parent I have to say the communication is very inconsistent. Mainly a lack of it to parents and between the staff members. I wish they could get their act together, have been a parent here for 3 years and will be for another 4 years and not looking forward to it at all.

All three of my kids have received exceptional education at River. My older two are now doing fabulously well at WWU and thank the wonderful teachers and experiences that they picked up there.

100% done with everything surrounding the IB program. I do not recommend it unless you want the teachers to already expect you to know everything without sufficient direction. Not pleased. Bad choice. That is all.
