GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I went to Salem High School for all 4 years of High School and for those 4 years I met students and staff who made me want to come to school, who encouraged me to keep going and showed me kindness and diversity that no one else in my district could have provided.

Amazing teachers, student involvement however is poor. Another thing is not a lot of classes are offered so it can be difficult for students to take what they want.

I started to attend Salem my sophomore year of high school, because I was a transfer student from Kellam High School. At first, I didn't like Salem because I had no friends, but I eventually started to meet more and more people. To this day (I graduated on 2020) I am still close to my high school group from Salem. The building is old, but I had really good teachers. The staff was super nice as well and the student body was healthy and diverse.

They considered it on school property because they are considered responsible for us until we reach our house after school. It was dum...
