GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Visalia Charter Independent Study is the best school i have gone to. i left Dinuba High due to being bullied. VCIS was so welcoming. it let me work on school at my own pace and take those extra cirriculumn activites as well.

Changing from a high pressured traditional high school with nearly 2,000 students to Visalia Charter Independent Studies has literally changed my daughter's life. Hannah has a regular school work packet she has to complete each week but isn't left to her own resources and isn't pressured to excel beyond her own capabilities. There is an abundance of academic support given in a loving helpful environment. She is amazed at her own capabilities as apposed to feeling like a failure at her previous high school.

VCIS helped me get into school again and accomplish what I never thought I could do. I was able to learn math and receive help without ever feeling like a bother. The staff is so friendly and even if they don't know your name or know you personally they will still wish you a good day or tell you goo...
