GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Wapakoneta High School is a nice school. It has very new facilities and a lot of sports and club opportunities.

I have spent my whole life in the Wapakoneta school district and it has been nothing short of amazing. Ever since I was a young kid I can remember about just how kind and friendly the administration and teachers were. As I got older and saw more schools and what other teaching environments were I then began to realize how lucky I am to have been given the chance to grow up in such a good school and community. Just like in every other school district there are troubles. But I felt as if I was ever struggling mentally or in school. Some sort of adult working within the school was there for me. Something I would like to see change is how "troubled" kids are handled. I have never been in trouble within the school but I have seen multiple kids who have had outbursts in class be treated just a little harshly. Instead of the focusing on fixing there behavior at its source they went straight to a punishment. But that is the only negative experience or change I would like to see.

Wapakoneta High School is a very good school that offers excellent academics and has fantastic facilities. I graduated from this school last year and they helped readily prepare me for life after high school including college. They also held a job fair where I was able to get a job in my selected field where I now work at making good money. This school prepares you for a lot of obstacles and prepares you well financially especially with their personal finance class. Breakfast at the school is free for all students and lunch is very affordable while also having a wide variety including for people with allergies. The food also tastes quite good. The school aslo has a lot of resources for students struggling with mental health and also disabled students. They also hold a great program called the Wapak Way to teach children about modern day problems and how to prepare for life after high school. Some students are rather entitled and don't realize how good our facilities and academics are.

When I attended Wapak High School (class of 2007), the class sizes were small which made for a better learning experience. They also had many programs available to get a jump start on college credits, like their wide range of AP courses and their program to attend the Lima OSU branch for coursework....

As a student of Wapakoneta High School, I can say that I have seen little bullying, and have had a good time attending school. The teachers teach well and make it a good challenge for the students. They help the students out and offer after school time to help out. The principals are strict and unde...

I am a brand new graduate from here, and I went here since 8th grade. My feelings on the high school are mixed, due to changing attitudes during my years. I have to agree with other reviews, as an overweight girl who did not participate in sports or get relatively high grades, I saw myself and other...

Wapak schools have stepped up as far as academics/tests go. But coming from a former "middle class" student, if you consider moving here, wapak is a wonderful town. Not a lot of places to shop, but it's relaxing and easy-going. But make sure to spend less on your monthly mortgage and more on your ch...
