As you may read from the comments, no one who has attended this school is academically ready for college or any job that may require them to write. The elementary grammatical errors in every comment are outstanding. I do get a sense that there is a lot of school pride, which is all good and well. I just hope they have other avenues of success that do not require high literacy, in which these kids may succeed.

Ballou High School was close to home, walking distant. I made many friends. Teachers and Administrators were all encouraging and helpful. Getting through the Covid 19 period was challenging being on virtual and doing schoolwork from home. I managed even though I shared space with my two younger siblings. Nothing was going to stop me from getting my diploma. I am so excited to go to college and explore campus life.

4/10. Students are sweet, smart, and respectful when you get past their harsh exteriors of trauma and socio-economic hardships. Students are NOT the issue. Administration is. We need to reconstitute the administrative team instead of he teachers this time.

They are consistent and stand behind their students 100% for striving for excellence in their academic studies as well as their extra curriculum studies
