GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My overall experience with the school is good. The teachers are nice and want you to succeed so they are hard on you depends whom you have for your classes. The students, honestly they are very toxic when it comes to trying to find any dirt or drama on you and will make your life hell.

Washingtonville prepared me for success in my college choice and overall career. The ability to join any club or organization to prepare myself for college greatly benefitted me.

My son is now graduating and since the city kids parents bought the new homes they have brought their city fake thug...

The school needs work, most teachers do the minimum and seem to only care about the kids that do well and are easy to manage. Give them a child that needs extra help or support and its hit or miss. Sports seems to dominate in the way to college for a lot of kids.

Washingtonville HS and particularly the principals office did not prepare me for college. Fortunately I had parents that aggressively prodded me to excel, I did graduate with a 99 average, even with all AP courses. There were a few teachers that rose above the others, unfortunately they were the min...
