The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Awesome arts programs and diversity, but no sports if that's what you're looking for. The food quality is not great, but this school qualifies for the Free and Reduced Meals program so it doesn't cost anything.

WAMS is a great school that offers great academics and opportunities for those of any background. I never saw myself as graduating as a top 5 student in my class. But WAMS made it possible.

wams is a very good school if you're into the arts. wams is very diversely and lgbtq+ inclusive but wams is far from perfect. the food is free but horrible. some admin and teachers r very rude and only see the worst in students. the dress code is insane tbh they need to dial it down NO ONE is benefitting from it. school starts wayyyyy to early it should start ltr and and end ltr so students can get more sleep and have better mental health. overall wams is fun and inclusive there are some AMAZING teachers and kids there.
This school is great for the arts, but I got bullied alot last year, and considered leaving. Good thing I didn't, because this year has been great so far! I used to go to wollcott schools, but I hated it!
My daughter has attended this school since 7th grade now she is in 8th grade. It is a good school for the Arts but honestly there is NO diversity. Waterbury Arts Magnet school is highly lacking academically and is not only short staffed but distracted by dress code. Dress code is more prioritized than learning itself and distresses many students. I acknowledge it should exist but it simply shows the main focal point of WAMS educators. The beha...

I got to experience several aspects of the visual and performing arts, from running the sound board in the Palace Theater to const...
