GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The clubs and academics can be extremely good but it's not heavily encouraged. The facilities, such as the bathrooms, can be worked on as they have been damaged and never fixed. Overall my experience has been great but I've had to chose to take the best rather than be encouraged.

My best experience at West Monroe has been the free lunch and breakfast that they provide for the students. My worst experience includes the arts not being as praised at sports. I am in the talented art program, so art is my football, yet it wasn't even included for a page in the yearbook.

West Monroe High School was a great experience. I'm definitely proud to say I attended there. They value all of the students and prioritizes education. There are so many options of extracurricular activities to get into that will elevate your high school experience. The teachers are great at what they do. There are very little negative comments someone can make about the school.

A SCHOOL/ COMMUNITY FOUNDED ON RACISM! Josie Barton - the captain of the cheer team - and her friends recorded themselves saying that they have to lock their car doors because they were in “niggerville” while giggling. Since then, this has resurfaced a lot of issues with the school such as the schoo...

As I read all the other comments most of them were saying that all West Monroe cares about it football. I completely disagree. Yes football is a very big part west monroe, but almost all the students love it and love supporting there team. But west monroe is huge on academic. I am a senior there is...

I am very pleased with the education and social skills my children learned while attending WMHS. They were very well prepared to attend LSU in Baton Rouge, and scored above average on the ACT which is a reflection in the quality of the teachers instructing our children. They care about the students...

The focus of this school is not academics or even the well being of all students. My daughter was beat up and while I pressed charges on the child who did the actual beating, the school refused to do anything about the child who video'd the event! I was told she was a honors student who had never be...
