With a diverse student body of over six hundred Pre-K through fifth-grade students, the school offers a traditional curriculum of core classes that’s enhanced by focused training in visual, performing, and communications arts. This magnet school for the arts ranks above average for the state of Florida in academics, so kids get a good foundation in reading, language arts, math, science, and other typical courses. Kids build on their talents in music, dance, visual art, theatre, or written expression as part of their school day and the school offers performance opportunities and talent showcases that let these talented children experience life in the arts. Outside the classroom, kids can participate in a wide variety of school-sponsored activities, including crafts, recreation and sports, food and cooking, and additional arts groups to explore additional areas of interest. The arts aspect is great. The students don't understand how privileged they are to be gain so much exposure. Some of the teachers are very passionate. Others,you can tell who's basically checked out. I'm trying to figure out how in the world this school got three stars. The staff is horrible, they walked around like the world owes them something. They are so use to the life style and attitudes of the kids from around that area that they assume all the kids in that school are "kids from that area...

I feel that this school is a wonderful environment for the child who is willing to work hard. There are many opportunities for the parents who is willing to volunteer and the child who wants to do more in regards to the arts. My two children have had great teachers who are caring and willing to help...

I agree with some of you parents. This school is definetely not for everyone. The Principal has conections, and is doing a good job infusing the arts and culture into children that may otherwise never get it. Unfortunately she picks and chooses who will shine and prosper and most of her staff follow...
