GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

i have overall had a pleasant experience in the school but I would like to see more representation of students that participate in schools like vocational technical programs at the Moniteau school

Great school with teachers that really care about their student's education. The schools community is very nice and organized.

At Moniteau everyone knows everyone. Even teachers know about their students lives. Because everyone in the school has such a strong connection to each other it creates a very comfortable and safe environment. Just like most other schools Moniteau has its problems, but there is always room for improvement.

Moniteau was a so-so school. Nothing special but nothing to look down upon. I think the teachers try their best, but don’t have the best resources coming from a small rural area.

Academics are not stressed at all. There are a few of involved teachers but overall very low emphasis on any education beyond high school. My son was told mid-way through his LAST year that he should bring his grades up if he wants to go to college- WAY too late for that to happen.

Moniteau is an amazing school that offers diverse programs that prepare students for whatever path they take post graduation. Nationally ranked athletic and academic teams from a small school in the middle of nowhere

Supportive teachers, great athletics and coaches. I was very well prepared to enter one of the toughest and most highly competitive colleges in the nation upon graduating from MHS. Of course, it's not just the school; I had tremendous, active, and involved parents too.
