The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I literally love this school because of the diversity everyone is accepted no matter what they do and bullying has never even been close to a problem from what I have seen it has an amazing sense of community and is amazing to be a part of! Also our SBO President of my year (2025) is 10/10 and is making this school better every day!

The best thing at Hunter High School is the diversity of the students. It makes me feel comfortable as a minority to be apart of classes that come with all different backgrounds.

The school has some decent programs, unfortunately the administrators are not great. They have terrible communication and take months to get back to students and parents alike. And many of the programs are lacking due to thing.

Between 2000 and 2013 something changed. Quality started to diminish. What I put in and pushed, is how much quality came back. By 2019...

It was a really bad experience that only ended when we transferred my son. Two years of time that was wasted.
