Academics are very strong and the teachers care about what they teach. Athletic teams and school spirit is prevalent but not overbearing. The k-12 social scene can be difficult to integrate into in the later grades so if you want to attend, I recommend entering earlier rather than later as by the time high school arrives the friend groups are formed and often closed off and the parents don't feel like making new parent friends.

The recent changes in leadership at this school have been disastrous. The once vibrant learning environment has been replaced with a chaotic atmosphere. Academic standards have plummeted, and the lack of effective communication from the new administration only exacerbates the issues. It's disheartening to witness the decline of a once-promising institution under this misguided leadership.

This school is like no other. Being in quarantine has made me realize, this school prepares you for college immensely. The teachers are generally very nice, but implement a strict and challenging curriculum (especially in middle school mandarin). GFA has offered me amazing opportunities to grow as a person. While the diversity is not the greatest, almost everyone is willing to be your friend if you go slowly.
