St. Monica School is located on the aptly named Santa Monica Boulevard (Wisconsin’s version, not to be confused with Los Angeles’s iconic thoroughfare) in Whitefish Bay, a suburb of Milwaukee on Lake Michigan’s north shore. This private Catholic school serves preschool through eighth-grade students. It offers a high-tech science lab and a technology innovation center and is located just blocks from Lake Michigan and the popular Klode park.
The school opened in 1928 and continues to focus on cultivating a faith-based community and achieving academic success. Students participate in religious classes and attend religious services weekly. Beyond religious services, the curriculum focuses primarily on math, language arts, science, Catholic values, social studies, music, and art.
St. Monica School has various extra-curricular athletic options for its students: cross-country running and volleyball in the fall, basketball in the winter, and track in the spring. Other after-school student activities include a variety of clubs: band, chess, robotics, drama, forensics, skiing, coding, and drawing.
