GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Palmetto High School has some of the most eccentric and hard working teachers, but the staff and administrators obviously do not try as hard as the teachers. The school culture is know to be toxic and uninviting and the students who participate in sports are very much so favored.

Palmetto taught me a lot and I felt prepared for college. The faculty is all so supportive and it's a great atmosphere. Every teacher I met truly wanted to help their students succeed.

Overall, I like Palmetto High school and have enjoyed my time here. The teachers care for the students to succeed in their goals and will go out of their way to help them. I only wish that the school got a renovation due to the building being fairly old and problems arising due to it.

My son did great at this school. The teachers went above and beyond to show that they care. When we moved up here, my son was struggling. The teachers worked with him and got him excited about school again. Now he is graduating on time and going to college. :)

Palmetto High School puts too much emphasis on sports. Not all children are inclined to be a jock! There are alot of bullies there and the students are encouraged not to take up for themselves because they, as well as the bully, will be punished. My son did have some special teachers last year, in F...

Both of my children attended and graduated from Palmetto High School and both are in college now. Both were involved in extra cirricular activities and were active in sports. We LOVE Palmetto! I do not believe we could have done better with any private school. If I had to do it again, I would not he...
