GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I personally have had a good experience at this school. There have been many options of classes even when you are an AP and Honors student which is very nice. South does a good job at offering many electives that can be of interest to many.

Great mid sized school. The athletics at the school are great and the teachers are amazing support systems. The school is very walkable, with ample time to get from class to class. The biggest change I would like to see is more AP classes offered. Although a fair amount of your "everyday" AP classes are offered, I would like to see some of the more unique ones offered.

In my freshman year, South High was not a diverse school. Over the years, they've made great changes for including people of different backgrounds and making the school comfortable for everyone.

There needs to be improvement on Foreign Language specifically French Courses that go beyond French II. The teacher needs a stronger curriculum to keep our children up to par with other districts and to meet the collegiate level or AP Language Exam. Poor Classroom Management skills.
