The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It is a pretty good school, especially for the STEM programs. It would be nice if there wasn't such a strict dress code or if they would dress code everyone equally since male students usually get away with not being in dress code.

Atkins has been a pretty decent high school since I've been attending. Before I applied to go here, I had no knowledge of SMOD being one of the main rules at this school. So before I went back in person for sophomore year, I had to rush and buy and bunch of clothes that fit the dress code. Atkins' SMOD is definitely better than school uniforms, but I still see no purpose as to why SMOD is heavily enforced. It doesn't affect our learning and it limits our individuality. Other than that, the school has been an amazing learning space and an intellectual challenge for me.

My overall experience at Atkins Academic & Technology High School is amazing. I have formed creat connections with all of my teachers and also great connections with my school colleagues. I love how the administrations admire and love the students and advocate for our mental health and our wellbeing. Our school is especially important because we have many clubs that give out to the community.
This is a great school - definitely the best in the county. I received an excellent education here and was able to not only be accepted to top tier schools, but also thrive there. I am not sure what some of the other reviews are talking about. I have two younger siblings at Atkins and they are defin...
Another school that functions more like a prison than a school. Kids aren’t even allowed to use the bathrooms while in class. Minimal breaks for food and exercise. I regret sending my child here.
I'm a current student at Atkins, and I wouldn't recommend it. Because at Atkins it's hard to feel happy, heard, and overall like you can express yourself. I have bad experiences with SMOD my own parents are stressed with the strict code, because my parents cannot buy new clothes every time they make...
