I have experienced many wonderful and not-so-great things throughout my time at WHS. Most of the staff is wonderful and supportive. No matter who you are, they will do whatever it takes to help you pass their class and assist in helping pass others. However, the school has little to no diversity in due to its location. if this is something that would be of concern, it would not be a great school. As a picky eater, the school lunch isn't great, however, some of my peers eat it daily with little to no complaints.

I used to go to Winterset and the school was just horrendous. The community is incredibly toxic and I was often bullied. The bullying was often physical, mental, etc... many assaults happened there too...

I loved all 4 years I spent at Winterset High School. I had the best experience and had amazing teachers. I have no complaints about my time at Winterset.

Of our seven children, two attended here. We lived in 7 states. We found WHS to rank among the best our kids attended. The small rural community made it an even richer experience.

I am both a parent now and former student. I feel as though the schools are probably a little better than average but are on a decline. I believe this is partly due to the economy sinking and partly due to school leadership not being effective. Most teachers/staff are good and care about their stude...
