I chose WLA for my kids because: 1) Known - My children have close, respectful, personal relationship with each of their teachers. They really get to KNOW them and care about their whole person. 2) Loved - I feel like the environment at WLA has been one that my children have been fully embraced for who they are. 3) Enriched - I am in love with the RICHNESS of the curriculum at WLA. The way each unit builds on itself from year to year has led my kids to 1) retain more knowledge than I felt like I did in elementary school and 2) build an amazing vocabulary and reading comprehension. The diverse culture at WLA is has added an amazing aspect to my kids' enrichment. The level of empathy and respect that my kids have for other backgrounds, races, cultures, etc is something that would've been tough to teach without being immersed in it.

Middle school is a joke. There is so much drama here between the students and staff. Multiple students get sent to the office daily for the petty reasons. This environment is not conducive to learning. Teachers shame students. Multiple kids have come and gone. I should have listened to the parents who warned me about this school. This is our first year here, and last.

My grandson graduated from this School. We loved it and my two granddaughters are attending it , they love going to School, they feel safe and properly well educated.

this school was the reason I was put into therapy. I started WLA back in 2021, hoping for a new opportunity as I'd never been to a public school. It was all so new to me. We transferred to WLA for the 2022-23 school year and have had a wonderful experience. My kid 2E has a disability and was horribly bullied at our neighborhood school. Thanks to the staff and the environment they are working to foster at WLA, she has friends and has not been bullied once this year. T...

This school has gone down hill. It does have some wonderful teachers but a terrible administration and board. I feel bad for the teachers. They are not supported and the students are out of control. Students are being physically bullied by other students and administration turns a blind eye.
