GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

School that mostly preps its students for getting into CSUs. Overall, relatively average public school.

What I liked about attending this highschool was the amount of help some teachers offered when they noticed you struggling. I also really appreciated the college workshops they're giving out right now to current seniors to help with applications, very good benefits. Something, I would change would be to improve the school spirit.

Something I like about Pioneer High School is the student involvement! Students can be very supportive when it comes to school activities and sport events.

The principal constantly talks bad about teachers. She even talks bad about teachers to the students. She told a student that the English teacher was bad and she won't be there next year. She yells and degrades everyone. Every year there are new teachers because of the lack of administrative support...

PHS has improved a lot over the years and is still improving. No more fights happen at lunch time and the test scores are improving. Great teachers.
