St. Mel Elementary School embodies the beliefs and values of the Catholic Church as they work alongside parents and the larger St. Mel community to develop spiritual, social, academic, emotional and physical potential for students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Catholic beliefs and values are taught at grade-appropriate levels and classes attend weekly Mass. The academic curriculum includes language arts, science and math, with access to the school computer lab. Sports, the creative arts, a student-produced newspaper and after-school enrichment programs deliver a well-rounded experience. Before-school and after-school care are available along with an after-school homework club. St. Mel Elementary School provides an atmosphere in which students grow in confidence, integrity and faith. St. Mel Students are active Catholics who know and practice the Catholic faith, serve others with compassion and act with kindness and respect. St. Mel also offers a summer camp program and a preschool program that helps prepare students for a seamless transition into kindergarten. Students here are critical thinkers and self-aware individuals who respect themselves and take responsibility for their words and actions. St. Mel Elementary School provides a compassionate, nurturing atmosphere in which students can truly thrive.

NO real security. Easy to access from several areas. If your child is absent they will NOT call you. So if your child ditches, is abducted etc you will never know if he or she is in school until pick up time.
