This school is not a military school. The faculty as you call them do not have degrees in teaching and children take naps and watch movies during class time. They are not encouraged to excel. Safety is non existent with doors being left open overnight and during school hours. If you speak up and call out serious violations you will be bullied and shunned until you leave. This place is run by several families so they all hide things for one another. The turn around is very high with no desire to excel. It's easier to keep dishonest people who don't demand excellence. This disservice to our youth is very unfair. As a parent , I would never send my child here even if it was free. Do your own research before enrolling a child in any boarding school .

Massanutten Military Academy has boosted our son's desire to persevere and achieve excellence in whatever task is set before him. The leadership training and structure has helped him to succeed in the classroom, in athletics, and in the arts. The faculty and staff show great care for the cadets' academic pursuits, as well as their personal growth and development.

Before I didnt know how to curse but then the teachers and the cadets curse all the time. A kid literally got bullied here from another kid and they didnt even care I dont know how but the boys barracks are literally trash and the girls barracks are perfect when I first came here I saw mold on the wall back in 2020 when Covid 19 first came and if I go pee 1 second after bedtime they literally go crazy and when the adults are wrong they literally just say go back to your room and if they see cadets writing this they will literally give us tours tours is when you march 1 tour means 1 hour of marching and we cant even have civilian clothing but the girls even wear it outside of the barracks and they dont do anything and their things are so expensive it is like 30 k per cadet they should at least have a million dollars by now ands yet they cant even afford good WiFi and for those pictures you see on Facebook they make us smile and there are literally writings on the desk that says help me

got in trouble for things that are not in the school rulebook. living conditions are bad. the staff does not care about mental health. can get food poisoning. and they gave expired milk to students.

Staff does literally nothing whenever a report comes in; there were many instances where there was bullying, harassment, etc. and nothing was done about it.
