GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My school is like any other public, rural school. There are ups & downs always but the ups outweigh the downs. Since we are in a rural school, we don't get a "hefty" budget, but we make up for it by supporting each other and having enormous school pride.

My experience at Yazoo County High School was great. The administrators and staff were always helpful and wanted to help each student according to their needs. The change I'd like to see is more college and career readiness

Yazoo county was an average high school experience for me.I mean ,the learning was boring and didn't really teach me what I wanted to know and everything else needs a lot of work.Yazoo county is a good school as far as academics ,Clubs, sports and parent involvement, but could use work in other areas, like the bathroom facilities and cultural diversity. When problems with students occur people in command don't really know how to handle the situations correctly.i feel like Yazoo county needs to open more opportunities in the field of study the students want to pursue and accutually care about the needs of all their students not just a select few.Panthers need to become more involved with helping other students in classes where they fall behind. For Teachers to encourage students with everything they set out to do and establish deep connections with them and have more huddle group sessions to talk more with students to figure out their futures.

Hello! I was a Yazoo County panther a few years ago. This school is located in a small town and is a small school as well. I like how close students can be with each other because of this. However, I think the school needs more activities, other than just the average sports like football and basebal...
