GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have had many great experiences with my time at CYHS. Most of the teachers are phenomenal and seem to love teaching as well as cultivating the next generation. I learned so much about being a student but learning even more about being a person and how to be involved In society.

I was allowed to progress at a pace conducive to my aptitude and ability. The school faltered in preparing seniors for the reality of what comes after graduation. Financial aspects and realities of situations were not considered for most students. Guidance counselors met with seniors the bare minimum one time they were required to. I received no help or guidance without self seeking when applying to colleges.

Pretty good high school with solid diversity and very good academics. Offers a lot of resources for those with needs and has many classes for college readiness. Food could have a little more quality. I would like to see more competent substitute teachers.

Honestly, don’t expect your kid to be recognized for their handwork unless you’re a school board member. The nepotism at this school district is disgraceful. The high school administrators, counselors, and teachers are busy judging the lives of the student body.

Not impressed at all and we’ve lived in other states. Unless your child is a superstar, the counselors won’t be working to help them get into college. The counselors are too busy working with the students who have no support since the district doesn’t want to pay for therapist and service officials....

I used to be a student at this school but I've transferred to a new school I should say that my experiences at the school were okay but many students face bullying everyday and the district sits and watches, sure they may have anti bullying campaigns but that's as useless as a bloodhound with no nos...

This school brushes problems under the rug and hopes they go away without addressing them. Case in point...bullying. Ironic because they claim to have taken such a "anti-bullying" stance.
