GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have been attending Zion-Benton Township High School since my freshman year and soon will be graduating. My overall experience has been very good the staff is helpful and supportive. The theater program is overall amazing. And the school helps prepare students for college.

During my time in Zion-Benton, I have learned from so many people that you are really not alone. The people I met have changed who I was before and made me a better being. The best parts were mostly ROTC and how I started off in Junior year being the runt in the family then being one of the big dogs. The worst parts were leaving the teachers later on throughout high school.

There were many ups and downs when it came to going to school, but over all I believe I got the best education I could have gotten with the materials I was given.

The security people were rude to students constantly. There’s a lot of diversity but also racism. Teachers were unethical and the environment felt severely unsafe with a lot of kids getting into constant fights, ended on hospitals and even arrested.

More so impressed with how District 126 has carefully carried out plans during this pandemic. I am a proud Z Bee mom of one son who has been flourishing ac...

Honors Classes, Theater, Choir are absolutely excellent; Students are testing very high on ACT, but our student population is very mixed, academically, bringing down our rating. Our surrounding towns are a lovely place to raise a family and buy a reasonably priced home...
