Bold design from a big name at Gramercy Park’s eastern edge

The distinct aesthetic of Gramercy Starck, the 21-story building that features amenity interiors by prolific French industrial designer and architect Phillippe Starck, is more trendy New York or Los Angeles luxury hotel than upscale residential building. Port-a-potties at the event were universally labeled “Celebrity.” Today, whatever buzz that event created has certainly dissipated.
