Its quiet nature yields stress-free walks along its sidewalks and wide streets, which some use for taking the bike out for a lap. Mid-to-late 20th-century ranch, bi-level and tri-level-style homes sit behind Norway maple and white oak trees, typically featuring an attached garage. Trips to Mead Swimming Pool and Schaefer Park

Residents looking for a relaxing lunch or a place to read head to Schaefer Park along Forest Road, thanks to the shade made possible by its old-growth trees. Meanwhile, those looking to get active put kayaks into the public boat launch at Tellulah Park, a riverside green space a block north that provides sweeping views of the Fox. However, when summer hits, residents and Appleton locals make regular trips to Mead Swimming Pool, located on the neighborhood's western side. “I grew up in the neighborhood and went to the pool all the time,” Seidel shares. “It’s definitely a staple of the area.”
