About Auburn Hills, MI

Auburn Hills automotives

Evolving beyond its once sleepy reputation, Auburn Hills is a growing city. Split into different sections, the city is not entirely residential and was considered off the beaten path for many years by locals. Today, lots of apartments and business developments exist downtown, offering plenty of newly constructed homes and activities to explore. In a similar fashion to the Detroit area, the city is also home to companies specializing in the design and manufacturing of automotive parts, contributing to much of its business side. With continued expansion in the city’s historically quiet regions, Auburn Hills is a spot to establish a quiet residential life without sacrificing community and local attractions.

Throughout the city, residents can choose from a collection of single-family ranch colonials, as well as newly constructed condominiums. Some Tudor and Cottage styles can also be found scattered among these properties. Home prices range widely, beginning at $215,000 for a modestly suburban ranch-style and up to $1.6 million for a larger property complete with several acres of surrounding land. "The housing market is pretty common, with a lot of limited inventory, and when a home is in nice shape, it tends to sells right away. Prices have been pretty steady all around,” says Eric Jurmo, broker at Keller Williams Platinum with twenty years of Realtor experience.
