The community lies on the eastern outskirts of San Diego County, but is flourishing with "lots of new shopping and businesses," says Andrew Santiago, a real estate agent with over $11 million dollars in sales, born and raised in San Diego. "It's a growing community, lots of nice homes with great schools and parks spread around." Residents have views of natural scenery within a reasonable distance from schools and shopping.

Expansive and affordable homes
Dictionary Hill is the tallest point in the community's residential area, with suburban streets winding their way down into more gentle hills and flatlands. "On the hill, you'll find a lot of the really nice homes and more affordable homes in flat areas," says local Realtor Andrew Santiago, "Overall, there are a lot of single-family homes, along with some manufactured homes and condos." Multi-story houses and modern houses can be found in the community's hills. In contrast, the community's more level streets are lined with expansive ranch-style houses and manufactured home communities. Both areas of La Presa are seeing new construction in the form of tri-level townhomes and contemporary style single-family houses. Manufactured homes start around $160,000, while single-family homes range from $540,000 to $900,000 or more for an upgraded hillside abode.

Several school districts, such as the Grossmont Union High and La Presa-Spring Valley Unified School Districts, serve La Presa's public school students. The weather in my area is typical sunny, southern California weather because that is exactly where I live. In the winter season there is never any snow, maybe some rain throughout the month, but it usually just stays sunny and warm throughout the year. Spring season, in my area, is like a warm up for summer with usually warm temperatures and the summer is very hot. A typical outfit for me on any day of the year, no matter the season, could be shorts, a t-shirt, and maybe a light jacket.
