Suburban Neighborhood in Brambleton, Virginia
Loudoun County 20105, 20175
Willowsford easily represents one of the most unique neighborhoods in Loudoun County. As the only farm-to-table, or Agri hub, community in Loudoun, Willowsford integrates living off the land with a resort-like lifestyle—all within 25 miles of the nation's capital. Bisected by Route 50, Willowsford includes the villages of The Grove and The Greens to the south and Willowsford North with The Grant and The Grange to the north. While geographically divided, this cohesive community puts a new spin on suburban life.
Somphane Jones, a locally based Realtor with Pearson Smith Realty, describes Willowsford North as a "custom, upscale neighborhood." But she goes on to say, "Because it centers everything around the community, there's still a relatable lifestyle. From annual events to bonfire parties, it's a community in and of itself."
The homes in Willowsford North represent eight different architectural firms, an intentional move on the part of the developers to move away from the "cookie cutter" stereotype of many planned communities. You'll find architectural designs that range from colonial and Craftsman to ultra-contemporary and manor-style. Usually situated on large lots anywhere from a half-acre up to three or more, these homes start at $1 million or more depending on size and finishes. A custom-built estate home with six bedrooms, more than 8,000 square and luxury amenities inside and out could easily run you from $2.5 million up to $5 million.
As an Agri hub community, Willowsford North balances preserving natural space with responsible development. To this end, it hosts a working 300-acre farm located in The Grange village. Fresh produce can be bought through a community shared agriculture program, through the Willowsford Farm Stand or online. But growing is nothing without engaging, so the farm also offers you the chance to get your hands dirty—literally and figuratively. Adults and children alike can participate in volunteer opportunities and educational activities and even take cooking classes in the neighborhood's teaching and demonstration kitchen.
Willowsford North encourages an active lifestyle by its very design with wide sidewalks and plentiful pathways. On any day of the week, you can find neighbors paddleboarding on the 7-acre lake, walking the miles of trails that weave through the surrounding forest and farmland or enjoying the resort-style pool at the Sycamore House clubhouse located in The Grange. Next door in The Grant village, you can take a weekend staycation at the family campground, play a round of disc golf or while away an afternoon at Wild Plum Park. Multiple dog parks, an amphitheater and the Everfield Community Park with a large picnic pavilion, playground and open meadows round out this self-contained outdoor adventure land.
If you're looking for more activities, the newly opened Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park is a 257-acre treasure trove. There's almost nothing this park doesn't have—from tennis and basketball courts to a skate park, a fishing pier, playgrounds and nature programs.
When playtime is over, kids in Willowsford North attend Loudoun County Public Schools, which receive an A-rating from Niche. At Madison's Trust Elementary, one of several elementary schools serving the neighborhood students learn to make positive contributions through inclusiveness practices, anti-bullying programs and family involvement. At Brambleton Middle School, the Brambleton "Bears" promote friendship, self-discovery and teamwork through after-school clubs and activities. High schoolers attend John Champe High School or they find their home at Independence High School, where they can also find their passion through dozens of activities, including computer science and coding, comic book clubs, astronomy, music, filmmaking, theater and sports—to name a few.
If it's some grown-up fun you're looking for, the Old Farm Winery has you covered. Curate new vintages on Friday Night Flight Nights or take a break at a food truck. You'll be charmed by the 18th-century farmhouse, barn and outdoor bar. You can also head to the Quattro Goombas Winery, Craft Brewery and Pizza Kitchen for locally beloved Sicilian-style pies, then spend a crisp fall night listening to live music or catching up with friends over a seasonal brew.
Naturally, a residential community with an agricultural focus won't offer much retail. But the nearby Brambleton Town Center will scratch your retail itch and keep you stocked on household essentials with restaurants, retail, health and beauty services and a Harris Teeter grocery store.
Discover Willowsford North for luxury in a natural setting, agriculture that is accessible and a lifestyle that feeds your mind, body and soul.
